Electro Static Discharge Protection
Electro Static Discharge is usually generated by friction. This occurs when two different materials are rubbed against each other or separated. This can be caused by, for example, the human body being electrostatically charged by friction from clothing, footwear, carpeting or by friction between different types of plastics. Electronics such as printed circuit boards are hypersensitive to electrostatic discharges. Because many electrostatic discharges lie below the perception threshold of a human being, it is unnoticeable to a human being. Approx. 3000 volts are needed to notice this. A lower voltage, which is less than 3000 volts, is therefore imperceptible to humans, but it is harmful to electronic components such as printed circuit boards. That is why it is important for sectors that work a lot with, for example, printed circuit boards or other ESD-sensitive products that there are ESD trolleys to transport these items.
Which types Are there ESD carts?
There are different types of ESD carts available. Each car has a different application. For example, at Kruizinga we have the following versions in our range:
- - ESD storage trolley
- - ESD storage trolley
- - ESD platform trolley
- - ESD roller platform
- - ESD table trolley
- - ESD material stand
-
Do you want grab items within reach? Then choose an ESD material standard, ESD table trolley, ESD shelf trolley or an ESD side trolley. Are the goods of a larger size? Then choose an ESD platform trolley or ESD roller platform. You can also use an ESD roller platform, ESD material stand or ESD side trolley in combination with ESD stacking bins

FAQ
What is an ESD car?
ESD stands for Electro Static Discharge. ESD is generated by friction and can take place in the form of a spark. An ESD car protects you against damage from electrical discharges.
When do you need an ESD car?
Do you work in an environment such as computer rooms, hospitals or facility environments where you works with products that are harmful to electrostatic discharges such as printed circuit boards? Then it is wise to purchase an ESD trolley.
